Who we are and how to contact us

We publish EspressoKeep at https://espressokeep.com. You can contact us at contact@espressokeep.com.

Personal data we collect and why

Our hosting provider’s web servers receive standard technical information whenever you request a page, including your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This information is used to run and secure the site.

If you leave a comment, we collect the information entered in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string. We use this information to help detect spam. Comments appear only after approval.

Articles may contain embedded content, such as videos, from other websites. This content behaves as though you visited the other website directly, and that website may collect data about you under its own privacy policy.

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies so that you do not need to enter them again. These cookies last for one year.

Site staff who log in receive login cookies lasting two days and screen-options cookies lasting one year.

Who receives data

The site is hosted by Hostinger on servers in the United Kingdom. Its web servers receive the standard technical information sent with each request.

If you leave a comment, an anonymised string created from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to check whether you use the service. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.

How long we keep data

If you leave a comment, we keep the comment and its metadata indefinitely.

Comment cookies last for one year. For site staff, login cookies last for two days and screen-options cookies last for one year.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be deleted and object to how it is used.

If you have left comments, you can ask for an exported file of the personal data we hold about you and ask us to erase that data. This does not include data we must keep for administrative, legal or security reasons.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your data, raise the issue with us first. You can then complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/.
